Heads up - our server will go down for approximately 30 minutes after 9 PM PST tonight for a SSD drive installation and RAID-1 buildup. Introducing our new 635 GB Nintendo Gamecube ISOs section! The rhythm section did a spectacular job with regards to their roles.Christmas came early for all of our loyal users. And when the chorus comes, they transitioned to a half-time beat, signaling that that part is a new segment already.
In the verses, you can hear a groovy beat played by the drums accompanied by a simple yet spot-on bass line. The bass lines and the beats provided by the rhythm section is just spectacular.
But the main thing that completes the individuality between the song segments is driven by the drums and the bass. Although the song only uses 4 chords in total, they changed the chord progression a bit during the chorus to create a little individuality between the segments. The synth parts that you can hear every now and then adds to the overall mood. It has a slow pace, followed by a chord progression that also has a somewhat dark vibe to it. So with just that, it’s obvious the writer in question is overcome by depression and helplessness.Īnd to complement those dark and sorrowful words, the melody, progression, and overall structure of the song is just spot-on. In general, the song has a very sad vibe and dark tone to it. On the other hand, the lyrics great in such a way that it aims to emphasize the writer’s feelings and emotions during the time that the song was being written. The only thing that I can tell is that she is speaking with a man, and she seems a bit disappointed with him. The verses are a bit vague so I can’t pinpoint a direct story to it. I think what makes this song so captivating (to me at least) is that it’s so full of emotions. So of course, I first heard the song when I was watching SEL and I thought that it was just splendid.
For those you who doesn’t know, this song is the opening sequence for the anime series entitled Serial Experiments Lain. For my first ever song review, I have decided take on Duvet by the British band Bôa.
